Ensure packaging is untampered. Your Trezor should come sealed and intact. If anything looks suspicious, contact support before proceeding.
Use the provided USB cable to connect your Trezor to your PC or laptop. The device screen will activate, guiding you to the next step.
Open your browser and type Trezor.io/Start manually. Avoid clicking links from unknown sources to prevent phishing. The website will prompt you to install Trezor Suite, the official desktop app for managing your wallet.
Go to Trezor.io/StartInstall Trezor Suite for Windows, Mac, or Linux. This app is required for interacting with your device securely.
On first use, your device may ask you to install or update firmware. Always verify authenticity before proceeding.
Select “Create new wallet” if you are starting fresh. Follow on-screen prompts to generate your recovery seed.
Write down the 12/24-word recovery phrase on paper. Do not share it or store it digitally. This is your ultimate backup.
